Turn Your Handwriting into a Font: Which Method to Choose?

Keep your own letter shapes with handwriting restoration, or make a new font inspired by your style. Here’s how to choose and get started.

What is the main difference?

Choose handwriting restoration when you want to keep your own letter shapes. It restores usable letters from the photo and creates the remaining characters in the same style. Style creation makes a new font inspired by the overall appearance of your writing.

With distinctive, irregular handwriting, the 100-credit option can smooth away personal details and look more like a conventional font. More uniform, font-like writing is usually easier for it to match. High quality does not mean a closer restoration of your handwriting.

Why does restoration cost more?

Handwriting restoration works from the individual letter shapes in your photo and completes the remaining characters in the same style. This takes more time and credits than creating a new font inspired by the overall style. Allow about 15–20 minutes; the time varies with your handwriting.

We’re working on support for more characters and languages.

Restoration costs 800 credits on successful delivery, including character completion. Style creation costs 50 or 100 credits and is charged when AI processing starts. See Pricing for all charging rules.
